Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand how a news claim is made, sourced, framed or revised. Send proposals through the Contact page, with Write for Us selected as the reason for writing.
What we welcome
Strong proposals take one defined question and explain why it matters to a reader. Ideas may examine source types, headline wording, visual context, uncertainty, corrections or another part of news literacy. Pieces should teach a transferable way of reading rather than depend on a single fleeting controversy.
What to include
Tell us the working title, central question, intended reader and the main points you would explain. Note the materials or examples you expect to use, how you would handle uncertainty, and any relevant interests or relationships that could affect the piece.
Before sending
Please pitch the idea rather than sending a finished article unless we have requested one. Keep claims proportionate to the available evidence, use clear language and explain specialist terms. We cannot promise acceptance or a response time.
